POSITION SUMMARY:

The receiver is responsible for signing in all material received and properly tagging, recording and delivering to the designated location.   Overall responsibilities include:

  • Receiving of all products such as supplies and customer supplied material
  • Proper logging in of all materials and identification of product
  • Allocating product to the proper locations
  • Following the production Schedule to identify stock locations and deliver stock to the appropriate equipment
  • Charging product to the jobs
  • Verifying packing slips and data entry of product received
  • Running a clamp truck, forklift and operating other lifting devices
  • Safety checks on appropriate equipment
  • Compliance to all Health and Safety regulations and company policies
  • Regulate inventory when required
  • Other miscellaneous shipping duties

 

EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE:

  • Minimum 1-3 years experience as a shipper in a Warehouse and Operations environment
  • Completion of secondary education and/or equivalent
  • Applicants with related education and/or relevant experience will be considered
  • Clamp truck or tow-motor experience is preferred
  • Computer literate; working knowledge of MS Excel and Word
  • Working knowledge of shipping and warehouse software/systems
  • Capable of lifting 35-45lbs.
  • Ability to multi-task and detail oriented
  • Excellent reading, writing and comprehension level in the English Language
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment under tight deadlines with a high level of accuracy
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset
  • Basic math (numeracy skills) are required
  • Knowledge of transportation carriers, couriers
  • Credentials for shipping/logistics is considered an asset
  • Health & Safety credentials is considered an asset
