Sales Support Representative


The Sales Support Representative will be responsible for the coordination of all sales support activities, including being in constant contact with customers and handling all customer and sales related issues.  Acting as a liaison between customers, Sales Executives and Production Services, the sales support representative will document customer communications like specifications changes, delivery time and additional charges.  Tasks also include:

  • Administrative process (estimating, invoicing and timely processing of project documentation)
  • Perform administrative functions of the Sales Executives in a support role
  • Attend client meetings as required; receive all questions and concerns from customers
  • Provide technical support between sales department and the client with inside personnel
  • Receive and co-ordinate incoming orders and project information
  •  Check all information received from the customer for accuracy and completeness
  • Responsible for the efficient flow of all customer changes, requests and ensure deadlines are met
  • Responsible for the proper escalation of issues should customer expectations fail to be fulfilled
  • Provide advice and recommendations on production process and follow up with production services
  • Communicate customer issues to the manufacturing team
  • Accurate filing and tracking of customer files throughout the organization
  • Track and report inventory levels on over-matter; work with customers on disposal/spoilage
  • Confirm flow of information between customers and external suppliers
  • Ensure invoicing is done on a timely basis and additional charges are documented and justified
  • Maintain the customer database and contact information
  • Coordinate and schedule customer product approvals and plant tours, when required
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of print technologies and processes



  • Completion of High School diploma or equivalent
  • Post-secondary education or college/university in the graphic arts/print media
  • Min. 5 years' experience working in a print, DM and/or POP environment
  • Basic knowledge of the sales process; experience in Sales and/or Marketing
  • Thorough knowledge of print process and procedures, particularly as it applies to print production
  • Computer literacy: MS Office and Windows
  • Solid working knowledge of all production equipment associated with the print process.
